There are two important words in science, kinetic energy and gravitational potential energy, or GPE and KE. These are their definitions. GPE: energy stored in an object due to its position. An example of this is a person on a 20 meter high diving board just standing there; it has more GPE. Another example is a person standing on a 15 meter high diving board; it has less GPE than the 20 meter diving board. One last example for GPE is a person standing on a 10 meter diving board; it has less GPE than the other two diving boards. KE: energy an object has due to its motion. One example is a bike going down a steep hill; it has high KE. A second example is a pebble falling from a foot high; has less KE. A third example is a skate board falling from a ramp that’s 3 yards high; has a natural amount of KE. So, those are the two important words in science with their definitions.
